There are a few small variations on the EECO UV-5A (UV-5AT, UV-5ATC, etc.). These instructions will work for any version.
Your valve is basically pre-adjusted. please do not go to factory pre-sets!
Follow these steps to get started:
1. Watch Getting Started Video
2. Bypass Adjustment
- Start pump, making sure that NO solenoid coils are energized
- Turn the BPS adjustment in (clockwise) until the car just begins to move
- Next, turn the BPS adjustment out (counter-clockwise) until the car stops, then out a half turn more, and stop the pump
3. Operating Adjustments
- Make normal runs up and down, making minor adjustments as necessary to attain the desired operation
4. Pressure Relief Setting
- Install pressure gauge
- Determine operating pressure with fully loaded car
- Close pit valve
- Back out pressure relief adjustment
- Register an up call and adjust pressure according to local code, but not more than 25% higher than loaded operating pressure
