The Dover I-2 and Dover I-3 are different sizes, but have identical adjusting procedures.
Your valve is basically pre-adjusted. Please do not go to factory pre-sets!
First, watch the basic adjustment video:
Next, perform these basic steps:
- Install the pressure relief
- Adjust the Low Pressure Regulator (Bypass)
- Run for a few trips on automatic

Pro Tip, Down-Main-Speed adjuster:
- In for slower, out for faster
- You’re never more than ¼ turn from proper leveling speed
- Turn by full or half-turn increments to change high speed without changing leveling speed
You can change high speed without changing leveling speed by returning the screw slot (and the piston cams) to the same clock position with each half-turn.
